What is Fenbendazole?
Fenbendazole is a benzimidazole anthelmintic with a veterinary background. Its experimental anticancer literature is separate from demonstrated human cancer treatment.
Mechanism & research focus
Laboratory work has examined disruption of microtubule dynamics, changes in glucose handling and other cell-stress pathways. Cytotoxicity in cultured cancer cells is a mechanistic observation, not evidence of selective benefit in patients.
What the research covers
A 2018 study reported cell-growth effects and inhibition of tumor xenografts in mice. Human case reports instead raise safety concerns: a 2026 report assessed severe liver injury associated with self-administered fenbendazole in an oncology patient.
What remains uncertain
The cited experiments do not establish human anticancer efficacy. A case report cannot estimate the frequency of liver injury, but it contradicts blanket safety claims. Animal antiparasitic use and preclinical tumor findings cannot validate a commercial product for human treatment.
The evidence label describes the linked research, not the suitability of a catalog product for use in people. Formulation, identity, purity, and measured content must be assessed separately.
